RASTA

Righteous Africa Stands Tall Alone
A dark skinned pregnant woman
Pregnant with natural resources and, ideas and talents
Embryo being fed with very little rich foods if any at all
To be Deprived from the needs and wants of a fetus
Daily struggles of a mother to provide for unborn and young
To provide for them to never want
But then…
He appears, in ..
With tools ready to take prematurely what is not his
He is sometimes suited up and seldom in rugs sometimes he even wears scrubs
He takes, steals and robs
Never to return
So I sob and my heart throbs
For those left behind. Those on their hinds
And those who are my kind
Some hustling on the grind, all weather through the winds
And I ask GOD for one thing
Which is: TO PLEASE REWIND
To give Her and everyone another chance
One to show they can make it and redeem a gift of a kind

Granted

sometimes as humans we take things for granted. Whether we religious or not we know that there is higher power. We live life without necessarily acknowledging that higher power, if asked some say they christians but really are you? you wake up each morning say a short prayer then you head off the whole day u can go without thinking bout God until something bad happens then he is your saviour. people fall in love and neglect God just as they fall out or are heartbroken they remember him.People life comfortably and forget God just as they become uncomfortable then they remember him. They say love is the greatest power maybe it is maybe it isn't i don't know. Whatever your religion maybe or if you believe in a greater power i ask that you devote your time and trust in this power because its the only thing you have no brother, sister, girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, wife or friend can feel the way this greater power feels about you. And guess what just when you think you have it all or could have it all a big bomb is dropped on you then u think and ask yourself why me? what did i do? do i deserve this? through it all just ask the Greater Power and i believe in due time he will grant you your wants, needs and wishes. Have a great blessed day.

Chronicle 1

On this journey of life i have realised that as much as i do not believe that us as humans have unconditional love for our partners i also do believe that we share something "special" betweeen us. This feeling i feel is not to be called love because love in its raw form is unconditional, it is what Our Maker feels for us.
As my teacher in an introductory college class also helped me understand.(Kudos to her)
This feelings just like others must be nurtured positively to not include negative ticks such as Jealousy and its friends. It is my wish that this feeling especially between couples grows as they want it to so that the word has less divorce cases and less children end up with single parents and women or men with broken homes.
If you are blessed to have a partner, then nurture and care for this person, share your life with them do everything not expecting something in return but knowiing that you do it because this person plays an important role in your life.
I pray and ask for God's blessing on all unions.
Be safe and stay blessed

Thank You God

Each day at the rising of the sun I thank GOD,
for his many and endless blessings
For the people i know, those i see, and those i am to meet
For the souls that touch mine, For those i touch and for my shattered heart
For me accepting the people i meet for who they are and myself for who i am
For him healing the world especially when he healed me and also for his endless love for us
Then i go to the next part of the thanks
It is for what i really don't know
for whom i really have no clue
For when i can not pinpoint
And why i cannot tell
But the beauty of it all
IS THAT HE REALLY DESERVES ALL OF THIS AND MORE
which me, a nobody in his eyes can never quantify..
All the same God
Take your due Thanks and i will continue to give it to you

We are, You are, I am

sooooooooooooooooooooooo... think think think.................
We are truly blessed whether you believe in God or not, we are part of a very intricate plan to better ourselves and the worls if not the universe as a whole. We are who we are not because of what we have, what we wear, who we associate with. I am who i am because that is who i am supposed to be. I can't be what you want me to be, i can't change to suit you or anyone else. I love you because i just do there is no reason for it. Though i don't believe in love and its overpowering so called power i do know there is something i feel for you, and you and you. I am going to be what God wants me to be. I don't have to stand at a pulpit for you to know i'm a christian, i however believe faith, a good spirit and many other things will eventually lead us to paradise. So i challenge you today to be you the real you not the one anyone else wants you to be. Be you their boyfriend, girlfriend or whatever the relationship. Show everyone right from the beggining your true colours cause from what i have obssesed unravelling urself later especially when it is your negative side brings dissapointment. So be yo, no matter what. only change or modify if you believe it will make you a better you. Love you loads. xoxo

Never forget

Dear All

Never take someone for granted

Hold every person close to your heart

because you might wake up one day and

realize that you've lost a diamond

while you were too busy collecting stones.

To Be or Not Be

AS HUMANS we want, desire and need people and things. there are often obstacles blocking us from getting these wants, desires, and needs.
I have learnt that I can want someone, yearn for them and then eventually discard of the yearning and wanting after a while, I also know that a can want, desire and need somethings and never discard of these feelings because I believe and know that I have an innate potential and ability to achieve and acquire all these things.
it is for this reason that I wish, pray and hope that all my enemies, friends and loved ones achieve their heart's desires and receive their needs.
when reaching for our goals up there, if there is someone we wish be alongside us on our journey and for some reason we don't have this person in full spirit with us.. what do we do?
do we head off without this person or wait patiently for them. I have decided to head off without anyone who doesn't want genuinely to be with me.. however on my way I pray that GOD guide and protect this person and also help them reach their destination.
i might want or yearn for you to be there. it might be both ways or it might be vice versa.
Any which way it might be so be it but please lets not loose focus. I know we might drift of on tangents but lets drift back always onto the straight path. I wish us all GROWTH & SUCCESS AND if it be the will of God for us to have companions; good
companionship as well.
time to act in God's favour, look foward, move on if they aren't ready to go with you, give all without expecting ..reach for your destination..success
To BE OR NOT TO BE ... DESTINATION MUST REMAIN SUCCESS

Love, Trust and Success

So i rewrote this note three times because it always closed right before i was to publish it so i think it has been toned down due to my inability to remember everything i wrote.
We are borne out of love and we learn to trust to suceed. and we almost always trust that we will.
Love? what is it? It is the word a woman uses to describe the feelings she has for her abusive husband, it is the same word a cheating boyfriend says to his girlfriend of three weeks and is also what a mother says to her daughter. It is the reason why we are alive someone loved us soo much to create us and sustain us.
Trust is another one, rhymes with lust probably a clue to something, something like they both seldom last long if ever. We are told to learn to trust, to trust our instincts and our actions as well as ourselves. Trust has always been an issue for many, for me it has been the underlying ,it is just like betrayal of love,I have hardly ever trusted because as a Ghanaian child when you are told to do something for a reward you hardly ever get the reward even after you have executed the deed. Really believe is ok. trust is extreme
Sucess is the measurement of not what we have but how far one has come considering the circumstances one has had to deal with. Have admiration for those wo have made it throught it all, let them be the exemplary roles to emulate. However remember sucess truly speaking is unmeasurable. But I wish everyone immense Sucess in all their endeavours. Love you all. God bless

The Story of M&C

She looks and thinks why can't he be mine
"He is a perfect single God Fearing gentleman"
Sometimes it is as if she would give anything to have him
more than she would give for almost anything or anyone
They are cordial when they meet each other
They say he is too focused for her but do they know her
She is willing and able as well
Every sighting of him is a constant reminder of what she is missing in her life
This drains her
She is bothered by many but Her drive, focus and Prize REMAINS HIM
Is he even thinking of her? He seems focused on his ambitions
Is he worth it all??????????????

This is the thoughts of many
They ask for what they might not be ready for
He might be the one for you but best believe you focusing on him will get you no where
rather focus on God and he will give you what you need and want

Wake up young lady wake up don't keep your gaze on that young man
Don't yearn for him so much so that you can do nothing but think of him
Don't drain your energy
Focus on God let him and his path for you lead you
All Good Things come to those who seek the face of The Lord

Just thought to share this my sisters

Pure feelings Undiluted

I am posting notes and poems from my journal. Mostly written by Myself

So pure, so true,
not hiding very defining
interpreter, denominator
fresh as a second old baby
new to her funiculus umbilicalis
 whichever the name may read
don't know what is felt
just know that it could be and actually it is pure
a pure feel of a true relationship
be it friendship or courtship
it is the purity of a deep heart beat for u that counts
i love you i really do

Little things inspired by Mr. B.J.Osei

I am a firm believer that to walk you must first take one step. After reading a note on facebook today by Mr. Osei I was inspired to pick out quotations from my book of quotes and share them with you. These quotes reiterate what Mr. Osei said about little things. The little things in life make or break things. From  acquaintanceship to business partnerships, every little thing counts, it can determine success or failure. So please for yours and mine sake do take into consideration those little things. Thank you Mr. Osei for inspiring this post.

"What we call little things are merely the causes of great things: they are the beginning, the embryo, and it is the point of departure which, generally speaking, decides the whole future of an existence. One single black speck may be the begging of a gangrene, of a storm, of a revolution." Amiel, Henri Frederic

"Show me a man who cannot bother to do little things and I'll show you a man who cannot be trusted to do big things." Bell, Lawrence D.

"Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones tend to take care of themselves." Carnegie, Dale

"There is no one giant step that does it. It's a lot of little steps." Cohen, Peter A

"Never neglect the little things. Never skimp on that extra effort, that additional few minutes, that soft word of praise or thanks, that delivery of the very best that you can do. It does not matter what others think, it is of prime importance, however, what you think about you. You can never do your best, which should always be your trademark, if you are cutting corners and shirking responsibilities. You are special. Act it. Never neglect little things." Mandino, Og

"As the few adepts in such things well know, universal morality can be found in little everyday penny-events just as much as in great ones. There is so much goodness and ingenuity in a raindrop that an apothecary wouldn't let it go for less than half-a- crown..." Lichtenberg, Georg C

"It's the little things that make the big things possible. Only close attention to the fine details of any operation makes the operation first class" Marriott, J. Willard

"The happiness of life is made up of minute fraction-- the little soon forgotten charities of a kiss or smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment, and the countless infinitesimal of pleasurable and genial feeling." Coleridge, Samuel Taylor

"All difficult things have their origin in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small." Lao-Tzu

"There is nothing, Sir, too little for so little a creature as man. It is by studying little things that we attain the great art of having as little misery and as much happiness as possible." Johnson, Samuel

"It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important." Doyle, Sir Arthur Conan

"A mighty flame followeth a tiny spark." Dante Alighieri

Do Cherish the little things for the make the Big things you want...Yaa Opoku(self)

Softball not so soft

Living in a house with two softball players has its perks. I did  not have an interest in softball prior to living with my now good friend Jessica Breeden. After a semester of living with her and my other house mate a former softball player, I could not help but wonder what softball what all about. I see Breeden, as she is popularly known as, working so hard to play softball and go to school full time as well. Her drive and determination is one of a kind, as a graduating senior she was sweating too hard to do it all, for what reason I did not understand. So hard that she is not going to walk at her own graduation ceremony because she will be out of town playing softball for her team. This among many other factors made me want to know what the game of softball was all about, so I set out on a quest. On Saturday 30th April, I gathered two other friends and went to watch Breeden and the Uindy team play a conference game off campus. Upon reaching the venue, I was amazed at the number of cars parked, indicating the number of people who had taken time off to come watch the Uindy softball team among their opponent and other little league baseball teams. People of all ages were present, mostly families. My friends and I walked past some little league teams and were surprised to see the enthusiastic atmosphere at these games. At last we arrived at the furthest pitch which happened to be the venue for Breeden's game, I spotted her family perched at the end of the field by the truck watching the game. Like us many other friends and family had come to watch this game. I developed more interest after watching Breeden and her teammates display great athleticism and teamwork to win their game. For this reason, after lunch today, I remembered her of her word to teach me to bat, she heeded to her word and along with my other softball player roommate we headed to the school grounds to "play some softball". It was not until she was instructing on how to hold the bat and hit the ball did it dawn on me that softball was not so "soft" after all. To cut a long story short, my first session was not only an eye opener but also it was an enlightenment and interest builder. I have somewhat  learned to bat and I can't wait to practice and eventually play some competitive softball. I am happy I took this step and allowed myself to learn something new. Thank you so much Jessica Breeden. You are the best

America's Baby Booming Tax

Why not have a baby or more and be single?
It seems to me that the U.S baby booming culture is not only as a result of not using protection but maybe just maybe also as a result of tax returns given to people who are single and have babies. Not that this is wrong or anything of the sort, its just that I think most people would lean more towards being "single" with children if it means more dollars on their tax refund check than "married". Some are very married, living with their spouses and being supported by them but because of the benefits of welfare, taxation and tax returns etc that one is able to receive from "single" parenthood, many hide under blankets of singlehood to reap all these benefits. Well this is America. Welcome to America, land of many opportunites.
